Hi all. got a slight problem bought a receiver wich was already patched, i am picking sats up from 45e to 45w dont know if receiver already had channels programed in but for eg: 42e comes up with 118 channels but when i do a scan it only find 25 channels. 28.2e has 595 channels but scan finds 112 quality 72%, 13e has 897 channels but scan finds 869 channels with 72% quality,1.0w has 284 channels and scan show 275 quality level 79% 30w has 249 channels scan finds 233 quality 76% must be some easy solution looks like i spending more time on roof !

When you scan the satellite positions the receiver only finds the channels you can receive not the ones that were previously programmed into the receiver.

There could be a few reason why you're not getting more - dish size - alignment - LNB quality etc.

As long as you can see the channels you want.

A patched receiver will not open all scrambled channels.
