Connect 2 DM500s via reversing cable

Hi ,
Would it be possible to connect 2 x DM500S together for the purpose of using CCcam ( Server & Client ) via ethernet reversing cable ?
My brother's only got dialup connection ( no broadband so no router etc...) he just want 2 dreamboxes setup in the the house .

Do you already have 2 Dreamboxes? In theory it should be possible to use a crossover cable but I don't have one here to test. Beware that because there is no gateway, if you press a button that attempts to access the Internet it may lock up the image (hopefully temporarily).

Yes , I have got 2 dreamboxes ( DM500s ) and a DM7020 . Just thought I run it past someone to see if it's been done without issues . Probably be safer just to get a router I think ( run withot Internet access ) .
be good to know if it can be done though .
