I don't know much about satellite dishes but I'm learning.
I have a dish 500 and a dish 300. I want to connect both of them to one receiver. The 500 has a dual LNB and the 300 is single. I attached a switch at the two cables that come down from the 500 and ran it inside the house , the 300 is on a single cable running inside. I'm not sure if I connected them right. I went to radio shack and they gave me a satellite passive multi switch so I connected the two cables to that and I have a cable from there to the receiver. The channels from the 500 seem to work but not the channels from the 300. So I know I have something messed up. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

By dual LNB do you mean a twin LNB (two identical feeds from the same satellite), or a monobloc LNB, single feeds from two satellites?

Have you got a spec for the multiswitch? The problem we have, is that you use different terms for equipment and in many cases, different equipment.

Are these feeds to serve a single receiver?

Thank you for replying. One satellite is single and the other is twin. Yes, both feeds are to serve a single receiver.

All you should need then is a DiseqC switch, I presume that the receiver has DiseqC switching built in?
