Did you know that you can control your DreamBox from your browser?

If your computer is connected via Ethernet then use

http://192.168.XXX.XXX (use the boxes IP address)

IP address under Menu > (6) Setup > Expert Setup > Communication Setup > it's at the top!

You can change channels etc from your computer without the remote - magic.

Taking bets on how long before I break it again!

I set it up as a favourite on my girlfriends PC.

All was going well until she landed on a mature content channel.

LOL, better still, send a message to the TV asking for a cup of tea (Control/Message), T_G does it all the time, well he'd like to. :D

Is your DreamBox image a hybrid that you have made up yourself?

Just wondering with all your experience.

No gameboy, off the shelf Black Dragon using NewcamD. With the Dreambox I am as much a newbie as everyone else, haven't really had the time to play with it.

Set up the FTA Lidl receiver tonight and it is an amazing bit of kit for the money! If only it had a CAM slot.

They have already sold one with a CAM so here's hoping it comes around again.

Sorry it was a Comag SL555 just in same thread as other posts sorry for the confusion.

I have a 7000s that I continue to try to break each day it seems!

The Comag I was setting up to check the signal before i move the DB to that LNB but then I managed to get hooked and spent some time playing around with it.

have heard a that an image can be flashed to it that may prove fruitful will continue to investigate.

Hidiho Gamboy! Been away for only one week and what do I see? Did my eyes betray be?? Did you know there was a Guide at the beginning of the Dreambox section????? It is a compilation of all kind of useful and sometimes unwanted information. Anyone starting a thread without making sure the subject is not covered there is going to be warned once. The second time he will be submitted to the Dreambox Hall of Shame Thread (which needs to be opened first) and subjected continuously to repeated obvious questions, and more seriously, to indefinitely repeated answers from our permanent three times "answer of the week award" winner Stick. Consider yourself warned once! (Stick is already preparing :) )

Still can't find the browser reference in the guide - please enlighten me.

Put that stick away - you'll frighten the children.

Must try harder!
