i think it's language machine traduced in "hex file" who is usualy use by the programmers and the hackers to create some good or bad files
we must have a heavy knowledge in programmation to edit these files
but for me it's to much...

hi folks !
there is a bin file named key tipis in the boston-coship
package http://www.intuxication.org/~mediaflash/uploadcenter/index.php?PHPSESSID=37d39265bdd8d8d505084a5e10a26e4a&direction=0&order=&directory=Boston%20DVB-4500%20Nouvelle%20Version
...press the button "edit key" on the 3.2 uploader
open the bin-file with "open" , modify it and save it with "save as"
with a new name.
connect the machine , switch it on (completely , not stand by)
press the "upgrade key button" on the uploader , doubleclick on the
renamed binfile . ... . and that´s it.!! if it doesn´t work straight away ,
restart (standby and back) the machine.!!!

works perfect on my coship2300a sw. B.34.. "morocco"
as well on my other machine with sw. B.39.. "STR 5002-5003"

enjoy!!

You get the error message because those firmwares are meant for the old Coship,Boston and Strong recievers, they are also a different size than the file that's meant for your reciever.

Have you tried to reinstall the firmware?

You need a serial cable with the pins soldered like this:2-3,3-2,5-5.You connect the cable to your computer and reciever, get the proper firmware from the net,use the upload tool that's included in the firmware zip,if you encounter problems with changing the firmware you can read all about it in many posts in this and other forums.

Good Luck!

Hi Steffan,

thanks for your answer! But i can't download another patch into the receiver (Error 3 or 5) only Morocco-Earth.bin is good, but with them the Austrian TV is with drop out's

The receiver information from DSR 5002FTA shows:
SW: S02B-2.98R-B39.01
HW: STS-MB.02A-SZL0

Can you tell me some links, or what can i do else?

What I meant was that you can try again with the same patch.

I'm using the Truman 9000 firmware right now and it's working very well but when I search the satellites it searches for tv and radio channels, finds both tv and radio, and then when I want to listen to radio there is no channels. Did I do some stupid little mistake,or is it the same for all of you?!?
