Transponders with symbol rates above 45,000 are mainly used for data,
Some feeds have been observed with S/R over 60,000 but these are very rare.

34.5W 11075V, not locking. The other TPs mentioned above on this bird obviously not up at this time, as they fall within this frequency's spread.

When I did an LNB test recently I found that both CrazyScan and EBSPro gave lower SNR readings than those from the EBSPro Signal Analyser SNR or a satellite receiver SNR. Presumably due to the quick pass the software does when scanning a frequency range. This was not a global issue for all SNR but it did occur on some.

Is it an option to get the streamreader software or whatever software that manages the scan to do a slower speed pass in the hope that it captures a more accurate SNR reading? Or get it to do a return scan for those frequencies found and logged in a table and sit on them for several seconds to get the SNR?

Do a few limited freq range test scans on just one particular transponder MB but with different 'Method /Steps' settings - ie: start off with 1 MHz then 2 MHz up to 4 or 6 MHz and see if the S/N figures alter. I usually get higher S/N figures from my Promax when it is just parked on a particular frequency.

Yes, I think that is the logical way forward re smaller step scans and compare the results.

For those with a slight inclination towards IT tinkering, the entire EBSPro database of all historic scan results for all satellites can be easily exported and opened with a spreadsheet application. The EBSPro database is in SQLite format which can be opened by free SQLite database viewers. This allows reading and exporting of the EBSPro database as a csv file or a text file, both of which can be opened by excel or any other spreadsheet application.

It saves a lot of copying/typing and removes the risk of manual error for anyone wishing to keep/transfer records of their scanning forays from EBSPro into a spreadsheet.

Hi
I managed to configure CrazyScan for my SkyStar USBHD.
It seems I failed as I have received error message "checkForDVBEx".
I guess this related to the HW driver.
Any one for advise PLEASE.
