You might get away with a very short run of normal coax, but I would not advise it, you leave yourself open to high signal loss and potential interference.

you know i think its too long about 15m of CT100 from back of house to front via basement then joined there to normal tv cable upstairs plastered into wall. you see my problem?
However, you can't always get F-Plugs and barrel joiners to fit properly onto normal TV coax - if that happens then get some PLG62 plugs from Grandata (http://www.grandata.co.uk/). See below.
These will fit onto CT100 but have the normal "IEC" TV coax plug at the mating face.
If you do this, make sure you use an all-metal TV coax joiner - not the ones with plastic bodies!
Note: Grandata are a very cheap source for all sorts of aerial/sat connectors, including barrel connectors - typically, a bag of 10 is around £1 + P&P & VAT
