where one young upstart has inferred displeasure at the tangential direction, this breakaway is to give those with links to the artists that have provided an interesting - and often a completely new - angle on the technical drawings behind classic / cult projects.

First up, Mr G H Davis, the man behind the Illustrated London News

Shame, I was enjoying the way that thread was going. Nice pics here though!

Not really a cutaway, but an interesting schematic/technical illustration I thought, hope you don't mind me posting it here CH.

A friend was giving away some old magazines, mainly radio related.
As I was looking inside one of them I noticed this poster inside, I am really fond of this artwork and I like technical illustrations etc.
So I took it home, I plan on framing it and hanging it on the wall. It is actually from 1932 and not a re-print.

I had to upload this elsewhere as is too large to post here.

Post away, but give credit to the source if not easily visible.

Not sure who created this one, but it looks early enough to have been from one of the 60s Doctor Who annuals, possibly the Dalek Book.

Looks very much like it was drawn by Richard Jennings although it is very crude - perhaps it is early work. Richard drew the series The Daleks on the back page of early issues of TV21.

Here's an example of a very early indeed Dalek from him.

Wonderful stuff.
