im a newbie, and need some advice please.

i have a damaged 2.4 m sat dish for sky , it is damaged. can it be repaired succesfully or is it junk?

I would say that it would be near impossible to get it back to peak operational efficiency, but you could straighten it some degree with some panel beating tools.

The first one should beat out nicely.

The second one is bad, but as Rolf says, you may get it somewhere near.

If it were me, I'd make a 'former' or template from the opposite side of the dish (once you take out the ding), and flip it over to mirror it. Use that with a hammer and dolly and keep checking against it. The longer you invest, the better it'll get, but it'll never be as good as new.

Try not to stretch the metal. Test it with a magnet. If it's steel, a little heat will help with softening before beating, and in reducing stretch.
