Daniel Hegarty: English rider dies after crash at Macau Grand Prix

English motorcyclist Daniel Hegarty has died after crashing against the barriers at the Macau Grand Prix.

The 31-year-old, who raced for Top Gun Honda, finished 16th on his debut at the street circuit last year.

Very sad indeed, these riders do however know the risks and it is up to the authorities to minimize incidents like this with safety protocols when and where accidents happen, but yes tragedy like this can never be eliminated in this dangerous sport. Yet another young motorbike rider has been killed, doing what he obviously loved.
