DB as a recorder?

Can I in anyway use the DB as a recorder from say a VCR´s tuner?

Since all my swedish channels are coded now, I can´t record them to DB from satellite anymore, but I would like to record them on DB harddrive, either from VCR or from digital-ground-based broadcast?

well, there is a SCART entry, selecting this mode on the <dreambox> button should show the incoming signal, you might try to start a recording while the SCART signal is being displayed. I doubt if this should work, however, satellite signals are mpeg streams, any SCART signal is NOT. The dbox is not a mpeg encoding machine, it can just decode the signals. I've never tried it, but I don't think you can use the dreambox as a VCR recorder.
