DM 7020. This one appears to work. (Well its powered up & it hasnt gone bang yet) But of course the bloody remote doesnt do anything...... Sigh.

Is it worth testing the Vu+ Duo?? That one was retired with electronic faults long ago.

You appear to have broken into my shed.....

As expected the Vu+ Duo doesnt do anything apart from put the red led on the front. So Ive taken the hdd out & the Duo's been unceremoniously dropped on the rapidly increasing junk pile.....

Technomate TM1000D. Now this one definitely worked last time I turned it on.

Does it work now? With the way my luck is going atm what do you think? I get a red & orange leds on the front & absolutely buck all else.

Lets drop that one on top of the Duo!

Dug out my TM1500CI for possible FreeSat fixed dish for my neighbors as this is where they seem to end up now,
They seem amazed how many SD TV channels are free to air,

FreeSat needs to up it's game as the majority of the public are convinced that they need to subscribe to get BBC-1/2/4 & ITV C4 /C5 Quest ect :-rofl2

OT.
And I thought that only happened in Portugal. After the analog signal was cut off (several years ago), a certain telecommunications provider lead thousands of people to believe that to receive the 4 free channels (7 now, 2 are trash, I mean 6 are trash=1 not so bad!!) they had to subscribe 30 paid channels that they actually would never watch. And this still happens now!

Red and orange means it is requiring a command from the front panel on button last time I had one.

If anyone wants a TM5200, I have two of them that look brand new, nothing apart from the receivers mind.

FYI, attached is the WotSat review of the DAPCI

If Rusty doesn't want it then you can certainly have it for the P&P costs!
I think it should go to Nelson as he can make more use of it than I can, I'd end up pulling the Analogue tuner out along with some other bits and sticking it on Veroboard.

Now if anyone has any Analogue Satellite receivers with knobs on that are being disposed of I have a good home for one :)

I will take it .. if no one else has claimed it ... i have one still in use here for moving my 1.2 Channel Master .. it would be useful to have a spare :)
@nelson_b
OK, Rusty says you will have a better use for it than he, so PM me with your address details and I will get it packed up & sent in the next few days:D

@RustySpoons
It hasn't got any knobs but the Echostar AD3000IP does have a combined analogue & digitial tuner - any use to you??
(I also have quite a lot of the old s/w & f/w files - might be useful)

Fed up of trying to get broken & run down receivers going again so a Mutant HD51 is on order. Hopefully get it Friday. I shall probably get the TM5402 fixed then it can replace the very battered old Vantage I use for setting up lnb's outside on nice days in the summer .

I use one of the two 5402's here to set up the dishes down the garden - the other one is in the "office", and thats started playing up today when, I think, it got too hot after changing sat positions often and quickly. Power OFF/ON seemed to fix it until it did it again - looks like a recap might be needed there (will take the lid off in a couple of days to see what looks "nasty"!).

Interesting thing, I've been building a list of what I can get on both the TD110 and the TD88, and what the differences in longitude positions are between the two. Used the indoors 5402 (M3 version) for most of the job, and found that there is actually only a minute difference on a few sats (so the 2 dishes are more-or-less aligned the same, albeit, about 1-2 degs W of where they "should" be). Then I rechecked the TD88 on the sats at each end of the arc with the SX88, and found very little apparent difference in sensitivity - if the 5402 couldn't find a sat, then the SX88 couldn't either!o_O
Edited: the latter was on the end-of-arc sats where the 5402 could find the sats on the TD110.

Can't go wrong at all and it's a good price with the 2x DVB-S2X tuners at the moment.
