stick with the 1.2m as going to 90cm will not get you the same as on the 1.2m dish surely

i'm wanting an andrews dish but cant decide between 90cm or 1m version

I would love to know how much Gain difference there is between same size dishes. My Triax 1.2 does me well but I always wonder.

My original 1.2m is about 15 years old so i thought i would get a nice new white one as the other one had lots of moss etc on it

andrews dish i guess would come out top as it has a matched feedhorn to illuminate all of the dish

rd100, any comment ?

Most of what is available [sport films adult]can be had with a 1.2 quite a lot with 80cm. I would expect manufacturers to be up to speed but there is quite a lot of choice and maybe performance. My dish is in need of debirdmucking I may have a go this weekend. Would be nice if someone did a multi dish review.

I would go for a 1.2m Gregorian before an andrews. l know there hard to get, but there equivalent to a 1.4m dish gain wise. Also way lighter than the Andrews. my 1.8m Channel master on the mount, even i have trouble lifting it!! :)

They should not be a problem with the weight of the dish the az-el mount & polar mounts are make to take it as long as it is installed well there should not be a problem i have never known ant problems with CM/ANDREW dishes,

You should get on the weights more oftern i can lift one with my one arm (only jokeing). Yer the 1.8m is a pain on your own due to the size of the dish you should try the 2.4m andrews smc you need 2 or 3 people then to put it on its pole ,
