I'm sure this topic has been discussed quite many times here but I'm looking for reviews on the two different cards below, and have some more questions:

I'm deciding between:
TechniSat Sky Star 2 - 59€
Hauppage Nova - 99€

1. Links to reviews (if any are availabe) would be nice
2. Is there some good FREE app that handels sheduled recording of different programs for windows and/or Linux?

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

If you can buy the WinTV nova for 99Euro, i would be inclined to go for that, it has an onboard processor, so is less strain on the PC and has its own TV out. The SS2 is a great card also, but does have its limitations.
