Hey. Is it true that if you had a DiseqC 1.0 receiver (in my case Skystar2) you wouldn't be able to rotate the dish through the computer? And if not, how then would you rotate the dish? What then is the purpose of the motor?

Hey mate I do, however somewhere I read that through the 1.0 protocol you CANNOT actually rotate the dish you can only switch between the LNBs and something else, but NOT ROTATe it. Is this true?

Any of the DiseqC plugins for MyTheatre or ProgBVB will move any DiseqC motor, as I said before, several members on the forum including me have used or are using the SS2 with a DiseqC motor.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

There is one type of motor with the name Digiquest on it that does allow movement to four positions using 1.0 or 1.1 protocol

DRS Trading in Leatherhead have a few left.

There are another couple of motors as well which will do the same, but I can't understand why anyone would want to limit themselves to four positions when there are more available using a plugin.
