What position should I park the Stab HH120 motor, with Laminas OFC1200C, when there is strong(not storm) wind coming from the south or south west.
Should I send it to 53E so that the wind will veer off the dish, or should I set it to 8W as this is true south for me, as this may put less stress on the motor.

Of late we have had some very very strong winds and I always send my Stab so that either the left or right hand side of the dish faces the wind, ie: the 'thinnest part' and favouring slightly seeing the dish face rather than the back.

So far it has weathered the storm so to speak. :Y:eek:

lovelyperson: thanks for the reply.
That's what I did last night, as we had very heavy rain and strong winds, now moving east very slowly towards the UK
