Can a diseqc switch be used in reverse? In other words can i fit one on the end of my satellite cable in the room which would direct the signal to either of my receivers[sky box and freeview humax]? I don't particularly want to run another 45m cable from my dish. I know that i can buy a manual switch but could the diseqc work ?

I very much doubt it

Since the sky box does not understand diseqc commands the answer has to be no

Robbo, that should do the job but I think the Global SPS is better and cheaper (£6.40 delivered).

Hoping this is within the rules, here is link: _satcure.co.uk/accs/page1b.htm

The PS1 is no good for use with a Sky digibox, as the LNB power is always on.

Got myself a Jaeger Smart Priority Switch as advised and bingo it works just as the advice told me it would. I can now switch between my sky box and the Foxsat box to please myself. Just switch one off before turning the other on and I can prove to the wife I am an accredited satellite expert! Many thanks to all who helped.

Great news! Glad you got it sorted.:)

Which receiver did you connect to the master?

I connected the Humax Foxsat to the master. This was my first thought to see if it would work OK and as it did I'm very happy. Thanks again.
