I hope I've got the right forum this time.
Is there a trick to this diseqc thing? I have 2 lnbs (astra and hotbird using offset bracket) I can receive both by directly attaching the receiver alternatively to each but I get nothing when using the diseqc switch. Does it matter which lnb goes to which connector (A or  and do I need to do anything with the Humax f1-vaci ?
cheers

Right forum!

Yes, you need to tell your receiver that it is working with a switch. I don't have that receiver myself, so can't tell you the precise menu options and settings, but in layman's terms: the receiver needs to know when you select a particular channel which of the two available LNBs it should switch to in order to receive the signal: the LNB picking up Astra or the LNB picking up Hotbird. Probably you need to associate each satellite in your Humax settings with the appropriate LNB number. Check out the manual.

Which receiver are you using?

It doesnot matter which goes to which
It does matter how you set the receiver.

I use a 2 way DQ on my Humax F1 VAC-1, Astra on port 1, Eutelsat on port 2
Works OK
