hi telly2, i was told to disconnect the cable from the reciever 1st. then set up the dishes and connect them to the switch (input). connect the cable going inside the house to the output on the switch. then reconnect the cable to the reciever. remember to write down which dish is connected to lnput 1,2,3,4. on the switch. then its just a case of setting up the sats on the reciever menu. this all worked fine for me. rob43
