Hi all

Hopefully someone can point me in right direction.

I have an Echostar AD3600i , .3Invacom LNB, 1m Eliptical dish and H-H motor.

At present I have the following satellite reception percentages

Astra 28E 85%
Astra 19E 90%
Hotbird 85%
Thor 1W 80%

When i get to 15W the signal is dropping to 50% and Hispasat 30W i am getting no signal at all ! I have been able to get 30W about 18 months ago but since i had some bad weather it is showing no signal.

As the others are all very high % i thought i must be "on" or very close to the "satellite arc" so why am i not picking up 30W (even as a low %).

Does this mean my elevation angle needs adjusting and if so which way (up or down). I manually adjust satellite positions E or W sometimes but in this case it doesnt work.

If anyone can shed some light on this i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Looks like your dish may have moved on the O/P shaft
Is it a 36V motor or diseqc? and have you applied compensation/realignment after the bad weather?

Thanks for quick reply lancelot.

My motor is a 36v Jaegar.

What is the O/P shaft.

I haven't applied no compensation or realignment of dish only tried E or W manual search but no such luck.

There is no facility to adjust the skew although it's on the echostar menu ( whatever that means presumably up and down ?).

Given that i am getting excellent signal on East side but not on West indicates that i am not hitting the arc properly but any ideas on which way i should be moving my dish ie. am i hitting the arc too low or too high >

thanks
