Maplins have on offer a cheap RJ45 crimping tool for making up your own network cables.
Ideal if you want to extend your LAN connection between PC's, Dreambox etc.

Maplin Code JW52G - £7.99

Pack of 10 RJ45 connectors - £1.99

CAT5 Cable - 0.59 Per Metre

Hi Llew

I went to town (Ipswich) last Sunday to browse round our new Maplins store and keep an eye out for bargains. Closed for stock taking, they only opened just before easter! It will be another 3 months or so before I bother to got to town again as I do not like the place:-toilet . So back to browsing the web site again:).
Now off to try to get this Technomate 4100D to behave itself :confused .

Isn't Screwfix cheaper for CAT5 cable?

Wasn't Screwfix the firm that was bought out by one of the "big boys" who then sacked all the workers?
