Hi Has anyone with a clone DM500 managed to get it working with Diseq 1.2 And a H-H mount system? I have been struggling to get my system working and think the problem might be with hte clone software version.... I have set up the H-H mount Motek 1200SG with my dish and can manually track the mount to all satellites in my region if i do it manually. However the reciever does not move the mount and the green light of the motor does not come on like it should. on the TV screen i get the message "moving motor to...." but there is no movement of the mount. Also if i try to move the motor using the receiver and the left and right remote keys, nothing happens. infact once i get the "moving motor to....." message the reciever does not clear this message and i have to unplug the power to reset the receiver.

Has anyone managed to get the clone to work with H-H and if so please can you tell me which software version you are running.

Thanx for any assistance that you can give.

Your not going to like this answer

The only images i have had any luck with on moving a motor with my Eagle 500 (500s clone) is the ones from Gemini :-ohcrap

I have also had partial success with Powerboard enigma images aswell

You can also try googling "Eagle image" as the Eaglebox is well supported over at the dark place. Their image will also work on a Genuine DM500 apparently :-rofl2

I have just resigned mine to the back bedroom as its no use on a motor. Its just used for FTA stuff on 28.2e now. Its no use for anything else to be honest :-Nooo

If you do put a Gemini image on it make sure its no higher than version 4.2 as it could wipe the boot loader off the box rendering it useless.

My clone 500 moves mine ok. I was using PLi Iolite and have just put Jade on the other day and its driving it fine. It dont move it as quick as my relook, but i did test it after putting Jade on. It runs wild hot though if you do a bit of sat hopping.

Have you tried the increased LNB voltage option on the Eagle image?

i get the message "moving motor to...." but there is no movement of the mount

Mine did that with a geniune 500s. The last straw was when it drove the dish into the wall.

Have you checked the voltage out from the box with a meter? What amp is the power supply unit?

maybe its a problem of the low voltage output of the lnb in port!
not enough power to move the motor,on the clone versions!
never try it ,coz i dont use diseqec motors!at the moment!

Is there anyway to be able to test an LNB to see if it is working OK. I mean what are the Ohm meter readings of a good LNB of the 11300 type and the Universal types? I have a feeling that the clone box may have had erratic voltage output which may have lead to my issues......

EDIT: I have taken some voltage readings from each of my Sat boxes, can anyone confirm if these are within acceptable limits (as they are certainly higher than the reported 13V & 18V:

X-Cruiser Box: 20.9 Volts (Horizontal), 14.7 Volts (Vertical)
X-Sat Box: 21.0 Volts (Horizontal), 15.6 Volts (Vertical)
DM Clone: 19.1 Volts (Horizontal), 13.9 Volts (Vertical)

Now i have run a second cable to the H-H motor that goes to my X-Cruiser sat box to do the moving and then another cable from the Clone to the LNB. Its messy but works without the possability of inadvertantly leaving both STB switched on at the same time and risking futher equipment damage. The only thing i'm not sure about is if the H-H mount could be damaged if it is powered by a STB but does not have any LNB connected to its output....anyone know about this?

Another question....i just purchased a 0.90cm dish in China and set it up on the H-H mount but the LNB bracket may not have been the correct one for the dish. The dish box was in very bad shape and had oviously been opened and resealed many months earlier. How can you chack for the focal point of a satellite dish to ensure that the LNB is focused correctly? Currently by eye the LNB is focused in the middle of the dish between the two upper dish to bracket screws. This more or less matched the 0.40cm dish that was originally in my system.
