Dori Media to run HOT movie channels
Dori Media Group has won a $67.5 million programme supply agreement with the Israeli cable platform HOT. Subsidiary Dori Media Spike will produce and operate HOT’s premium movie channels for three years from January 1, 2008.
Dori Media president and CEO Nadav Palti described the agreement as a significant landmark for the company. “The Group took advantage of this opportunity and set up Dori Media Spike to combine DMG’s knowledge in the business of TV channels and Spike 2 K communication’s expertise in programming and branding high profile television channels”.
Dori Media already operates a suite of channels under the Viva brand and also runs the Darset Productions production company.
The agreement follows an RFP issued by Israel’s sole cable platform, which boasts a market share of 64%, and is scheduled to be finalised in August.
