Dragon CAM help

hey folks,

im trying to program my dragon cam without much luck

i havent used the equipment in a while but it has worked before

im using:

a universal iso 7816 smart car writer which is quite old but has worked previous and using multipro software

a dragon cam and loader card, i think its version 3.54, when i put the card in the box it shows 'smartcard error(no ATR)' message

i can connect using the dragon loader but when i try to program the card it always comes up with 'load error' iv tried re-installing everything and serveral different files, but no luck.

im hopeing to get priemier channels and others.

Try gently cleaning the contacts on your Dragon Loader card, if that fails to work you will have to try the Dragon loader card repair file.
Can your programmer be used to program a gold card?
The repair file is called LOAD2MB and is programmed onto your card using the gold card option.
If your card has Predator 354 loaded on it then you haven't updated in some time, as the latest file is Predator 368, which is currently AU for Premiere 19E, Polsat 13E and Digi TV 1W.

hey Mickha thanks for the advice,

i tried the repair file but it doesnt seem to work, i think my programmers outdated so probably time to get a new card.

also talking of premiere i heard its changing soon, will dragon be able to pick up any new/other packages?

Premiere is changing very soon and no one will be able to pick it up, without an official subscription.
Support for the Dragon Cam has died off over the last year, with only kinkdink producing any new files, so it is unlikely to open anything new.
We still have Polsat and Digi TV, until they upgrade their encyption, as well as a few other channels.
The Diablo 2.3 and MII card are currently opening DigitAlb and Canal Digital but no one knows how long these will stay open.
In this hobby we usually get something new but it also usually involves buying a new cam or card, until they work there way onto general emulation !!!

just a quick follow up, i ordered a new dragon loader card but got sent a t-rex loader, is this ok to use in a dragon cam?? not sure if its the same thing,

There are 2 loader cards for the Dragon, a Fun Card 7 and A PIC F84a, the latter being your Dragon Loader Card.
The Dragon Loader Card is programmed in Phoenix 6 Mhz mode using the Dragonload.exe program.

thanks mate,
got it sorted now, but one more small problem is i know the frequencies and details for the 3 major packages but is there a list any place around that lists the other channels i can pick up along with what frequencies and what satellite they are on? iv found afew lists in forums but they are outdated now.

You can't, you can update the keys in the predator file, before loading it onto your cam, using a utility like Prededit, or you can update the keys manually using the debug option in your cams menu.
Which keys are you trying to update?

I doubt if that channel is available, which package and satellite is it on?
Find out the encryption it's using, and the package it's part of, and go into Debig, the encryption type and the relevant package and you can update the keys, if they are available.
