Hello M8´s

Have an interestrig problem for the Gurus, and am hoping
to get some assistance.

Just received a dragon cam (3.1) and intended to test said
cam on a sammy 9500 via ci, but so far no luck.

Here is what I have done so far:
Tried to loaded all kind of dragon sw up to the latest (predator 304),
with cas2, add-on, and no problems there. No error messages at
programming or loading, also tried to update to firecrypt, but still the same.
Have checked all the keys, and they are all ok.

When am trying to decode "sk* Itali* (0070) then I get sound but only a black screen !

Further, for your info, do not have any problem with said provider when using titan2
card, or the internal emu. all channels clear fine !

At the dragon site it states that dragon cam should be compatible with the
sammy 9500 reciever, but to my experince there must be some kind of a problem.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Jambo

Hi jambo,
i don't know if you can program it with cas2.
but the most common and known way to program dragon cam is like this,
first the cam always comes with a card loader(logo : dragon loader card -Fun7-)
you also need a card programmer(most used is dynamite or pheonix infinity...)

*on your PC desktop double click on your programmer icon, programmer only work with sown software and driver downloadable from the net.let's assume it is dynamite (which i can recommend) on the interface click on PROG option.then,

*insert loader card in programmer (card's face down)and flash the card memory using FUN7LDR.HEX file provided in predator 304 firmware.after that,

*go back to programmer main interface and click on dragon icon ,here you program the card with the latest firmware eg;predator 304 file.then when that's done, take the card off the programmer and insert it in the cam.then,

*insert the cam inthe receiver. NOTE:receiver must be on free to air channel.then go to common interface module and press ok on dragonload.so what you doing now is you loading the cam with the firmware, to check the progress just press ok on your remote.

* when loading if finish it will read "successful",then you take the cam off ,turn off receiver, take loader card off the cam.

*last step is to turn your receicer on free to air channel, and insert cam in slot(with no card) and that should be it .

hope this would help.
good luck

Hello Nr66,

Thanks for your kind reply, and all the info.
Have solved the problem, and there was no problem with the cas-2 programming or loading of the sw into the cam anf STB.

Took me some time to figure out, but the problem was that I was using a multi-cas firmware (118) in the receiver, when I did reprogram the STB with the latest original fw (133) then everything works as a dream.

Again, thanks for your friendly effort.

Cheers,
Jambo

If you have the standard dragonloader card, then you should be able to do it with the elvis, but not with the standard software, you need to put it into phoenix mode 6mhz, then use the dragon load software.
