Dream Box 500 s

Hello ,


I got Dream Box 500S few days ago and I started to go through manul and start doing stpby strep process on Dream box , few pages ( date, time , IP etc and then I stop as I did not know what else to do !!
after reading guide from Geno I connected RS 232 Null cable and open Dream up the window opens > selected Com1 > hit connect and ( connect the Box to power )
well Nothing happens !!! there is green light on Box , on indicator on power supply but box is not going to second step .
What am I doing wrong ?
did I screw up when I initially started playing around and following the manual it came with ?
can I do something to fix my box ?

I need help please , I will appreciate any help as soon as possible

I read the guide from geno and other and trying to start from very beginning after collecting all needed files .
first I was doing "dreamup '
connected Null 232 cable to box and PC , open dreamup , click connect >then connect the box but nothing happens on screen no green line or "flash" in gray area remains so i can not click
I was just starting from very begining to set up box .
I will appreciate your help

Can you try Com2 ?

I think I used Com2 and the box comes Alive

All the things you have already set will need to be done Again if you flash a new image. Is that what you want to do?

Hello , Thanks , finally I have use DCC, Flash Wizard and DSM_DM500_v.......and down load auto TP for 110 and 119 but .....

But No picture !!!
LNB set up DP/Plus, Digital LNBF, two LNB ( 110,119 ) both are connected inside ( might be with switch ) only one cable comes you which is connected to
DM box. what am I doing wrong ? anything more to down load ?
I have read some thing about install emu through DM edit , ( I have not done that ? ) I need help....

Another problem is

I set up all IP for PC, dream box and router
computer 192.168.0.4
Dreambox 192.168.0.3 ( this is got from DCC search )
Router 192.168.0.1
and it shows connection in DCC ( Dream Box Control centre. )

Then I opened Dream Box edit (Llama ware) clicl on file >open and got unzip channel lest on the page .Then click on FTP on top , it opens ..FTP transfer file
Under FTP cofig. table
select IPSetting set ...Default )
IP address.......198.162.0.5

Now this is the problem in IP my dreambox Ip is 198.162.0.3
it will not let me change to 0.3 when I checked on TV screen through box it was 198.162.0.5 ..so I changed to 0.3 through remote. I was thinking to change IP in DCC to 0.5 but in search ( DCC ) 0.5. did not come up !!

because of this different IP it is not allowing to transfer the Channel list .


and that is the reason I decided to Auto scan!!! but No picture !!!

I will apprecite any help . Please .
