Metronic diseqc 80cm dish

Hi,

I have had a Dreambox 7000 for 18 months, using a SuperJack II to drive my old 36v steerable dish, with no problems.

I have had a guy install a new dish with a Metronic motor; sometimes when positioning the dish, the Dreambox frezzes and needs a 3-finger restart.

After the dish was installed, this was very infrequent, but seems to be getting a lot worse.

I suspect the Dreambox power supply cannot supply the current needed for the motor.

Does anyone know of
a) a way to improve the DB power supply
 an externally powered diseqc 'relay' which I could put between the DB and the motor
c) anything else that might help.

I have tried the DB home forum, but got no answers.

Thanks for any help

John, York, UK.

Notorious problem. Usually image related. Try another. 7000 does have poor PSU, but with the right image can usually be solved. 7020 has upgraded PSU.

You can choose the power to send to the motor - what are you sending?
