The cheapest I found the 120GB version in the UK was £360 from h**p://www.waferworld.co.uk (plus P+P?), but got mine from h**p://www.HM-SAT.de for £301 delivered.

Get your German-English translation window open (I find h**p://www.freetranslation.com superb) and save yourself £59!

You can download an English manual from the Dream website ( h**p://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/Bereiche/Produkte/downloadscenter.php ), and the first screen that comes up when you switch it on asks you if you want the menu system set to English, so no problems there...!!!

If you are interested in buying from Germany, just letting you know that my experience with http://www.sat-dream.de/eShop/ was very good.

I bought a Dreambox 5620 S for 150 Euros on Ebay (£101 with 2 years warranty), 2 x 0.3bd Platinium LNBs for 7.99 Euros each and a null modem cable for 3 Euros (plus postage 20 Euros and paypal fees 6 Euros).
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5712561556&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

You will get a Dreambox 7000 s for 295 Euros with them and cheaper on Ebay.

Cheers

There is no difference so work away. We will help you sort it out here. Read T_G guide at the top of dreambox section. You will also need to make a network connection to your dreambox to make it run smoothly.

Priced up a 120 gb Western Digital drive for £45 from ebuyer

Only my personal experiance but I found ebuyer awful. You cannot contact them by phone if anything goes wrong with your order. It took them 2 weeks to deliver a HDD that was in stock. They took an age to reply to e-posts.

I'll never buy of the net again unless they have a phone number.

I have to disagree with you here jetkis, I have purchased many things from ebuyer and I find them extremely reliable and if you look through the site hard enough you will find a telephone number for them, I find thier e-notes system a more than capable system of communication and I have only ever had to send one irem back which was replaced within 3 days.

On the note of purchasing from german sellers on ebay, look out for a seller by the name of Olano GmbH(www.olano.de), I recently purchased a db7000s with a 160gb hdd for 373 euros delivered(this was on a ebay auction and not thier buy it now price), except for a problem with uk banks they have been extremely helpful. I believe they have currntly got some db7000's with 120gb hdd on ebay quite reasonable at the moment so go check them out if your looking for a db.

The difference between the 5620 and the 5620s is the second one has an Ethernet connection.

When i bought my DB7000s from Germany I paid COD (Cash on delivery) from HM-Sat if that helps.

Didnt know that gameboy, thought they were the same. I was told that the 7000 & 7000s were the same just different parts of the world that they were shipped to. Is there a difference between the 7000.

The Fast Ethernet port is the difference between the 5600 and the 5620 :-

_http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/Bereiche/Produkte/DM5600_featurelist.php
100Mbit full duplex Ethernet Interface (only DM5620)

What I didn't realise is that the 7000 has 1 x CI and 2 x cardreaders, whereas on the 5620, it's round the other way. Only found that out yesterday...

The older 5620 had an Ethernet port but it wasn't 100Mbit full duplex that what the 's' was for - same on the 7000s - I believe.

I stand to be corrected - said the man in the orthopedic shoes!
