From my reading and from the admission of a couple of dealers, the Dreambox sounds very complicated; for me anyway. There was one dealer that stated the dreambox was a very good receiver, but complicated and suggested a Technosat. Do you guys no much about technosats? Is there anything that the Dreambox can do that the Technosat can't do as far as upgrading, flashing, receiving channels, or just the ability to do more things or do things faster?

I believe that the ystem can be set for NTSC on the Dreambox.

The Dreambox does have a very steep learning curve so it might well not be the receiver for you.
As for the Technosat I have never used one so I don't know, and as yet no one else with a Technosat has replied.
If I where you I would get a Technomate (nothing to do with a Technosat) one of the best and cheapest receiver's around.
If they sell them in the US try and get the TM-1500ci+ because then you have a smart card reader (reads many different types of cards) as well as a CI slot. It should only cost about $200, read the review on them in "Receiver Reviews".
Best of luck.
