Dreambox Power Cable ?

Hi

Just got my DB5620S from Germany. The Power Cable is a Euro plug and is non-removable, as I have seen people on about using an old Power Lead from a VCR, but can't see how this can be done.

Think I have a Adapter lying around somewhere, where by I can plug the 2 pin into a 3 pin interface. Will this be ok ?

If this isn't ok maybe I'll just have to cut the plug off and fit a UK Plug. A bit disappointed that they didn't use a removable lead though.

Chop the plug off and fit a uk plug. Those adaptors arent a terribly good idea.

you can buy a proper uk adapter in most electric shops.

Not worth the risk of it coming loose and shorting.

Cut the lead at the plug strip the wires and fit a UK plug like Analogue says.

i agree, cut the bugger off get a proper plug on it....

them adapters are a bit wobbly at the best of times....

I just bought a whole new cable.

Ended up cutting it off and replacing with a UK one.
