Basically i bought a dvd recorder; and in order for it to control my dreambox i need the corresponding brand code for the dreambox, because the list of the satellite receivers brand codes in the manual doesnt include the dreambox, nor sky+.
i hope someone can help as i also checked the dreambox manual without success

The dreambox manual is a joke, waste of time looking there for anything O-no
I would give them a call, surely one of them speaks english even though I doubt they know the answer.
Maybe you would have to try one of the codes for Humax or similar, with a bit of luck it'll work with one of those.

I agree with you, there should be.
Trouble is, I don't think that Dream are big enough and bothered enough to sort it out. I might be doing them a great injustice, but that's my guess.

I bet he didnt understand the question. What kind of recorder do you have. I have a Sony one but dont use it for recording the db as I use the hd. I had a problem a few years back with a video recorder and I tried a whole range of input codes for it until I got the right one. It took me a while but eventually got it working, just do it over a while and write down the range you have entered. You never know.

Maybe what he's trying to say is that there is not code which references all the different frequencies used by the Dreambox contoller, but that one of those clever 'learning' remotes could be used instead of your two existing remote controls?

Just guessing.

Most OneForAll remotes have a 'magic' function.

You change the code try and swith the DreamBox off and if it doesn't work, change the code and try again until it does.

When it does this is the code the receiver uses, I have used it for other satellite receivers - but not the DreamBox.

May be worth a try as the OneForAll should work all the units you want.

thr recorder that i have is toshiba rd xs32 and the raeson why i want to use it instead of using the hard disk on the dreambox is because the channels that i want to record 13 degree east arabesque bouquet the signal is not strong 60 per cent therefore the image start moving on the dreambox ;not on the toshiba though, and the picute quality is slightly better on the toshiba;i will try some codes to see if it is gonna work but i ve got the feeling it may take me a while.
