Should I buy the 7020s or the 5500 for a new motorised system?
I am technically competent, computer literate but no linux.
Apart from the lidl box I set up last week, I have no prev. exp.
What motor should I get for a 90cm dish? Any advice much appreciated.

I have a Topfield TF5000 Masterpiece in silver color if you are interested?

It's the high-end receiver of choice today, it's only two weeks old so it is brand new you could say.

PM me for price or we can sort some deal out if you are interested.

I cannot PM him because I don't know what it means!
I don't mind being ignorant as long as it's not permanent.
What does PM mean? I know I'm going to kick myself.

Thanks for the info. I am leaning towards the DB even though at heart I am a wiper motor man like yourself.

Hi I'm also considering buying either a dreambox or a topfield.
In this regard, does someone know if the dreambox has 1 or 2 tuner? Topfield has two. I like the LAN connection of the dreambox but I guess I could also do with USB2. Has anyone experience with it? Is it as fast/faster than LAN? Is it easy to transfer files to and from the receiver?
One last wish would be to have a wireless connection! If anyone knows how to do that..
Thanks

You will have a lot of help if you get the dreambox and even more on the German forums. My personal experiences is with the 5620 and 7000, the latter of which I have myself. There is a newer box out 7020, A couple of people had have some problems with it, but that is because not many here have them.
