Hello guys, i am new here and if there are any spelling problems i am sorry but i am from Holland :)
I have received my D16 today from the board sponsor and prehaps someone can awnser my quiestion.
I have a problem with the blindscan, if i try to do a blindscan the receiver wil not start, only when i have a active signal at the starting frequentie it wil begin.
This looks strange to my comming from a Clarketech HD3100 where you just put in the starting and stopping frequentie and then it starts to scan.
Is there someone here who can teel me why this is so and if there is a nother way to do this ?
Thanks in advace and best regards

Welcome here as well Jootje, it's a small satellite world !

Are you sure you waited long enough for the blindscan to start? With my F16, a satellite:
- from the DiSEqC switches, blindscan starts immediately.
- from the motor (USALS), indeed I must wait 30 seconds for the blindscan to start, if not locking right from the start.

Supposedly, this is meant to give the motor time to arrive at the position, if not there yet.

Always better to have a Blank Transponder at the start of evey satellite position so that the receiver is given time for the motor to move, i just have TP 10700 V 1000 at the start of every satellite and this works fine

having some expirence now i must say that the dRHD D16 is for the Feedhunter a great receiver ! But afcourse there are a few miner isues that must be solved by the engineers of DRHD.
First there is the problem with Blindscan, why must we wait for so long befor the scan begins ? As soon as i am starting the Blindscan there is a long time to wait, this time is to long ! Af course the Dish must turn but not for 3 minutes ! The feed is then long disapeart.
With a normal motor this time must be no more than 1 minute tops.
Than i have a small thin about the signal meter, why is this in DB and not in percentage ? I think that giving the option to switch between DB and Percentage is beter.

Thats all from me, thanks for your attention !

On my DrHD F15 it takes 42 secs to turn from 57°E to 22°W (my westerly limit). Starting a blind scan, it had a delay of about 10 seconds before starting to scan. That was using a larger increment. As a feedhunter, I'm guessing you may be using the smallest step possible.

Hello Sonnetpette !
Thats strange ! the steps dont matter, as i make 16 and 32 MHz steps it takes its time to start, almost 3 minutes.
prehaps its just somthing that only the software of the DRHD D16 has and not the f16.
Anyone ?
