The Dutch Competition Authority has approved the take-over of the premium television service Eredivisie Live by Rupert Murdoch's FOX International Channels. Eredivisie Live owns the television rights for the highest football league in the Netherlands, the Eredivisie. The highlights remain on the Dutch public broadcaster till Summer 2014. From then on it will move to a Fox's public commercial channel in the Netherlands. Most likely Fox will start a new general interest channel on which the Highlights are shown. Dutch law prohibits the Highlights to be aired on a premium channel.
