Not really a satellite question but I dont know where else to ask:
If I bought a DVB-C card such as this one could I watch NTL cable digital independently of a set top box that is in another room?
Also would it work with all channels? IE encrypted channels?
What encryption does NTL UK use? Obviously the channels are already payed for but we only have the one subscription card.
Would it work with progDVB?
Thanks in advance!
I have been using progDVB with a skystar2 card but I cant permanently fit a dish up as its not my house and its also a conserved area.

Don't know much about Cable reception, but there are some forums which specialise in it, or at least have dedicated sections, you should try Modshack or Digital Forums, links in Nobbly's big links list at the top of the forum.

Couldnt you put one of those disguised looking dishes on the ground somewhere? you know the ones that blend in with the surrounding area?
Do not know if that is possible under your circumstances but just thought i would mention it. Obviously the dish would have to be quite solidly positioned to avoid movement in the wind etc but im sure it must be possible assuming no trees in way either ofcourse.
