DVD watching in France

I would appreciate an accurate answer on the folowing question please.

Some friends in the UK have purchased a small property in France for occasional use. They bought a TV while over there and are wondering, if they took their multi-region DVD over (with discs obviously) would they play through the TV they bought. I suppose the output video format of the DVD machine is PAL.

The DVD player should be fine on all TVs bought in France, as they all have PAL G and most have RGB Jimbo.
