A Norwegian soccer referee says he tried to avoid giving out yellow and red cards because he suffers from dyslexia.

Per Arne Brataas has told the Verdens Gang newspaper he couldn't face writing post-match reports.

Brataas refereed games in Norway's amateur fourth division, reports BBC Sport Online.

He said: "I was reluctant to give red cards. I didn't give yellow cards either so then I avoided having to write the reports."
