German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland will add the entertainment channel E! Entertainment to its platform from 30 April.
The channel will be available in high definition to DTH satellite
subscribers in Germany and Austria on Astra (19.2° East) as part of
basic package Sky Welt.
E! Entertainment has so far only been available in standard
definition on cable networks and IPTV platforms in Germany. With the
launch at Sky, the service will become available in HDTV and via
satellite for the first time. Selected E! programmes will also be
offered on-demand on Sky Anytime and Sky Go.
E! Entertainment reports on stars from Hollywood and the German movie
and media world. The channel, which is operated by Universal Networks
International Germany, mainly targets a young, female audience.
