what are the different parts making a complete motorised system and what do they do, I,ve heard of H to H and actuator but haven't a clue.

It would be a bit of a long post to explain all that. My serious recommendation is that you do some research on the internet or your local library, as it's all out there in infinite detail.

H-H means Horizon-to-horizon. IE the reach of the dish will be from the satellite on the western horizon to the satellite on the eastern horizon.

Actuator is the drive for the dish.
