Easy to use software to make graphics?

Can anyone suggest any easy to use software to make graphics?

I'm looking for something along the lines of MS Visio but is easy to use e.g. to make nice looking graphics to show a process (A to B to C).

Stressing the "easy to use", template/ drag and drop style.

Not PhotoShop.

Well the Visio Demo made me feel that I needed a technology degree to accomplish anything ;-))

I might be able to help if you expand on what you need this program for; like, complex graphics/processes as a teaching tool, simple graphics for a presentation, prepackaged icons, automated animation, PowerPoint control, user input, etc.
