Well, here i am again, trying to make some money on eBay, My first ever item was a playstation 2, which sold for €95, but the buyer never paid... He left feedback, saying he had received it, (I had never even sent it) and eBay charged me a fiver.'O'-red Second item, a crappy chinese calendar. I put it on as a joke, not a sniff of interest. 10p down the pan. :-doh! The third item was a Playboy mug from the 80´s. Surely i was to have look with that? Nope, not even a watcher! Im now on my 4th item, a collection of 27 casette tapes. Its a 7 day listing. Please somebody buy them! If you want you can chuck them afterwards. I just want to sell and send my first item!:-ohmy
The address is http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4880842110

I only sold about 4, 5 things in ebay but I ALWAYS got a bloody good return. But I put a lot of effort into the presentation, seems to work for me :)

My feedback is near 400 with 100%.

But I have seen a lot of complains that sales are down all round just now!

Haven't sold anything for a couple of weeks now - wait until the market picks up.

Yep, and as I checked it this morning, I had a bid! For one cent. Approximatly .0.56p. Well, This is between you and me.... I found these tapes by the side of a bin. It will be a profit if i make just that! They were dumped in a shoebox! And i rescued them and lobed them on eBay.

I don't think free listing days help.....it gets swamped with a million copies of "watch satellite TV through your PC...only 99p" type of ads

I'd agree with that, plus selling things a bit out of the ordinary also helps.

But I think that another factor is how turned on countries are to Ebay. In the UK we seem to be very aware of it with every other unlikely punter at car boot sales muttering "cheaper on Ebay".
As a very crude example; comparing the number of satellite receivers for sale in France: 247, Spain: 391 and UK 1649

Just a thought.....
