EBSPro Activation problem

I have working versions of EBSPro V13.0.0.1 on an XP disk and V 14.0.0.4 on a W7 disk (same PC). However, I can't activate any version up to 15.1.0.1 using my key which was issued Dec 2015. Did EBSPro rely on an activation server that's now off?

I get Code:3 unknown internal error on V15 and Code:7 not_found on the others. OS is W7Pro 64

Edit: Answering my own question, probably: The web site has this "Internet connection for first registration"

The key that you once received by email (your email address combined with a 6-digit password), gets into the registry, after which any later install should work rightaway.
Someone else in another forum also had some problem, the ebspro developer told him the email/password key will remain functional forever.
I don't think an activation server is involved.

Thanks. The new installation is on a clean Win7. I copied the registry key, which contains the licence info, to the new installation. Something happened as EBSPro now has the e-mail and key already entered in dialogue boxes when opened but I still get the same error if I click OK.

I've installed as Admin and as a normal user and also tried on a W10 machine that has never had EBS. Same result.

I think you should have entered email & password into ebspro interface, instead of copy/pasting entries from registry?

I entered it directly to start with. I tried the reg hack after your suggestion that was where it is stored. The key I found in the registry is the same as the one I had been entering manually.

But surely there are others here that use & install ebspro more often than I do. Good luck!

I think that EBS Pro is no longer in development, however, I am not sure if this means that there will be activation problems now or in the future. I have a legitimate key and it has always worked so far on several installs on Win7 64 bit O/S machines.

Thanks anyway. I compared the registry values between 2 good installations and there is a string value for "License" that is different between the 2. I presume that is a hash generated from the e-mail, key and some feature(s) of the machine and/or obtained from a key server. Hence not being able to copy the licence with the hash. Those 2 installations are on the same hardware but a different OS & disk.

Thanks. My key is legit and it did work on a couple of installations but that was well before the author shut down his development and servers. As I final try, I installed the exact software (V14.0.0.4), that has been previously proved ok, on a test XP VM and still got this result:

Either my key is now duff or it needs a server connection. Has anyone tried a new installation since the server shutdown, on an OS that has never had ebspro before? (with a legit key)

s-band, Открываешь программу ЕBSpro xxxx . И сразу заходишь в Help Нажимаешь на REGISTRED, открывается окно и вводишь законные данные (почту и номер) нажимаешь ОК. Перезагружаешь программу, компьютер. И смотришь прошла регистрация в Help, она будет серая и ваша почта. Я так делал.

I downloaded that version and it still blocks the non-Lite features. The only difference is the error it gives on entering the key. I wondered what the * referred to as well, I couldn't see anything.
Thanks BM, I'm running out of options. I'm still curious to know if anyone has installed using a legit key, on a virgin OS, since shut down.

Both cjcr-soft.com and ebspro.net are "suspended" at the moment so I presume cjcr is still working on the fix.

ebspro.net is back on line and I unlocked a legitimate copy of V14 on a VM so all seems to be OK now. It only exchanges a few bytes with the server to register. Thanks, cjcr.
