Echostar AD3000IP+RCT card not working

My card supplier has changed my card but it still does not work. He says the Echostar might not be working with the new Viaccess card codes. Is this true?
The receiver is only 6 months old. Do I need to do an over-the-air software update?

You don't say if your receiver has an integrated Viaccess CAM, have you spoken to Echostar or the Dealer you bought the equipment from, there may well be a download available.
