Does anyone have any good/bad reports on this system.
I am looking to buy one in the near future and can't seem to find reviews on it.

How much is it likely to cost?... and can I get it any cheaper from Germany, Holland etc??

Thanks

First, I really do not recommend buying receivers "remotely" (abroad, or by mail-order/internet). Why? Well there are so many reports of problems with satellite receivers (Echostar included) and the difficulties of getting them dealt with that I think it is false economy. Better to pay a little more and get it from your local dealer - someone you can actually go around to and shout at if the thing breaks down!

The Echostar DSB2110-VA is described on Echostar's own website, and you can also download the manual there.
Homepage:

Direct link to tech.specs:

Direct link to English manual download:

Also on the main middle-east distributor's site:

A site that alows some degree of feature comparison with the many receivers on the market is here:

I don't know of any independent reviews, other than the short sections in What Satellite & Better Satellite (UK magazines).

I have been in touch with a dealer and he says he will supply a DSB2110-VA, 2 Universal LNB's, a 90cm Channel Master Dish, all cabling etc etc and full installation for £485.

Is this a good deal do you think???

Thanks again

PS... I should say that I already have an Aston CAM and a SNAC Card

Price?
Well in my part of the world that would certainly be a bargain, barely covering the equipment alone. And an installer won't get out of bed here for less than about GBP 100...
... but in the UK the norm has been established by Sky - namely free boxes, free dish, free LNB, free mounts, free cabling and presumably poverty-stricken engineers who have to make a living on 40 quid intsllations...
...so you'll need to get advice from some UK sat fans on whether that's actually a good deal across there...
