OK Phil, sorry I can't help much with yours.I was led astray as the front of the box is exactly the same as mine, didn't think it was so different as you have described - the spec said it had just added an extra scart and RS232 terminal if I remember.

I bought mine about a month before Echostar brought out the LT model :eek:

Just to keep everyone up to date - I manged to fix the problem. It was in the power supply after all. I replaced three 1000uF capacitors and it all sprang into life. The ones I changed were close to a heatsink which had probably aged them due to the local heating effect.

Often the case with SMPUs in old timers. Even if you have a receiver doing nothing, just stored away for a few years, electrolytics can lose the ability to operate efficiently.
