Hi all,

I got myself an Edision DVB-S2/C/T2 receiver and I'm pretty happy with it so far. However, I can't seem to get streaming working. In my browser I can type in the IP address of the box and I can control it using my computer, but the console for Sat2Ip is so old that no browsers support the plugin that it's using so I can't actually see a picture. And even though my browser (and my router) recognises the box is on the network, VLC and other media players don't recognise it either automatically or manually. I'm on a wired connection. Can anybody help?

That is unfortunately the guide I was using. Nothing seems to recognise the device on the network (other than the router), even though I am able to control it using any device by typing in the IP address into the browser. I'm not sure how I can do one without the other. I wondered if it was to with being plugged directly into the router over plugging into a bus which I use but that doesn't seem to affect it.

I may be getting a Piccollo to play with early next week for a client, so hold on in there. Of course somebody else might pop in before then.

Look forward to it! Thanks for replying quickly. Scratching my head here. Not a major feature of course.

In the meantime you could run a long HDMI cable to the remote point. Many outlets now sell a 30/50 m run at a very reasonable price.

Do any Edision receivers work properly?

Yes, the mine Edision OS Mio does !
Did you have to do any changes to settings? I’m not sure how to configure things. Or rather, is there a way to parse the playlist url? I’m confused at how all my devices can reach the STB on the network but can’t stream or open it in any media player.
