OK thanks I bought the SX88+ anyway after sending back the SX88, as for cables coming out from all sides it's only the power lead on the left ! How is the menu better on the Edison ?

You are not faced with that garish app page for a start on pressing the menu button, the Edison is much better on the eyes. The satellite install page is slightly different too. I will do some pictures later

I think I would plump for the Edison, although the Octagon is good the DD+ working on the Edison is the icing on the cake for me. I even had the SX8 and still the darn thing wouldn't decode it with my Sony TV. Also for some reason, I get no sound off any channel from the SX8 when it goes through my TM HD modulator either, sorry going off topic a bit..

Ah well perhaps I will buy the Edison also, I can't get over how tiny the SX88 is, almost like a toy, photos make it look 3 times the size !

I personally can't cope with that, it will look awful in the rack, I think it also looks too small and the remote is quite cheap feeling.
But that's just my personal opinion others may not be bothered.

The mainland leg is by UPS, but the Ireland bit is by Fastway. UPS haven't yet had the parcel passed to them.

That looks like a poorer service than I get here with Hermes

Back to the Edision topic....I stupidly somehow managed to throw away the remote control with other rubbish so ordered a new one with Amazon........

the attached foto explains it all.........I had not thrown it away!*!*.........what a *¿?*
