Oh, did you get it from DVBMarket.com?

Just interesting to know the full cost with VAT and delivery.

I bought mine from CS Multimedia in Germany (€59.90 + €15.99 shipping with DHL). Ordered on a Sunday and it arrived on the Thursday. Think @mw963 did the same. A couple of DS posters found it for less (thread here), but either way I suspect the new Octogon box will be cheaper.

Thanks. The cheaper place is indeed DVBMarket.com (As per my link early in this Thread).

I can't see the SX88+ being cheaper, though, as the SX88 is £69+pp at a minimum.

The Edision has edged ahead in my wish list, but there's no hurry - The SX88+ is imminent, so all will become clear :Y

@ lovinthetelly: my Edision takes longer that yours to start up - 43 seconds to produce a picture, which is a very long time. The Octagon 4008 is quasi-instantaneous.

But that's not a big drawback, just wonder why mine takes longer than yours, in all other respects it's working 100%.
Might have slower flash storage.

Yes, me too.

I'm still bemused by the presence of a SCART on the Edision - seems a tad retro.

It's for Captain Jack and his decoders.

Yes, I spotted that, but also assumed VAT would be added to the total cost inc. delivery, at the end.

Also they add a small fee depending upon payment method, but I reckon the final price should be about €65 for a UK order.

Which is great value.

I chose this one because the audio phonos seem to have gone missing on the SX88[+], but I can get analogue audio out of the SCART.
I bought it from FreeTV in Eire. With 23% VAT, free shipping to UK and euro/pound conversion, the total was £53.76

The PSU has a UK plug.

I have scanned a number of individual transponders on 19.2E 28.2E and 13E. That process is much the same as for my Xoro HRS8500, the only error was the BloombergHD transponder in the list was 22000, so I changed it to 23000. I don't scan a whole satellite because that fills up the channel list with 1000s of garbage entries.

There EPG seems to be struggling to get the EIT data off the german channels which work fine on the HRS8500. I know you have to tune to each transponder to pick up it's EPG, then wait... maybe I didn't wait long enough. Some do work though.

The GUI isn't as tidy as the HRS8500: it seems to need a lot of extra button pressing to do anything, but I'll practise some more until I get used to it.

Oh dear. Let's hope it's nothing more than a glitch.

I've just noticed that the front-of-box display seems to have failed, and the front-of-box (power, channel up, channel down) buttons no longer respond.

Have I missed a menu somewhere that locks them, or is this the first sign of failure?

I've checked that the display settings are: standby:time, on:channel number.
On mine the green display and green LED are too dim to be useful but they are ON.
I hadn't used the switches, so I checked and mine are working.

If nothing is working on the front panel, maybe a connector has fallen out.

If It's partly broken it's more likely to be a software glitch.

I have updated mine to 1.04.48, but I still have a good list of bugs, but not untypical of STBs generally.

Edision seem to be greek. If you go to the .gr version of their website they have a "contact us" page.

Half tempted to get one of these as my set-up receiver to replace the Skybox M3 I have which is on its last legs!

The fact it'll lock multistream is pretty useful.

I'm waiting for Lazarus to bite first, we are having a stand off it seems. One of us has to cave in soon.
