We watch where "it's the best for us":-rofl2
PS: no TV/Sat in the Loo here!:-rofl2
PPS: Our Loo is so small that you can't actually get 2 people in there at the same time - not that that has any effect on where we watch TV, and thus still going to try to return that F***king Edison tommorow :(

I suspect the biggest problem is still being unable to spell Edision properly. The box has taken against you.

I can't see the point of fitting a SCART socket.

That's very old technology!

SCART was very useful today in the garden.
The old cathode ray tube (CRT) technology is better than LCD TV for outdore use.

Hi everybody,

Yesterday I turned my dish to Hispasat 30W. I scanned the satellite but I only found a couple of television channels. and some radio channels. I was watching whilst the Primo was searching and I saw a lot of times that he found a transponder in use, he gave excelent signal strenghth and quality but he didn't find any tv nor radio signal. I did a blind scan and asked to search all the channels, also the encrypted ones. Has anyone the same problem with the Edision Primo?

I used the latest .62 firmware.

The multistream channels from 11491 & 11496 work fine with my Edision Primo.
You need to do the following:
Menu-> Instalation-> Factory default
after that you can install the latest .62 firmware and all will be fine.

You might find more features available for your Primo if you load the Custom Firmware in place of the Stock Firmware.

Then again, "something like that" might be "useful" with "other" Rx's - I may thus "look":)

The Magic Words for searching in Google are:
edision примо софтуер
( it means - Edision Primo software )
Then Google Translate will do the job.
Everything is explained for the receiver in Bulgarian.
Of course, I will not write here what I know, because of the forum rules.

I have an old DVB-S satellite receiver that I use to adjust my satellite dish because I can manually edit transponders and channel parameters. This makes it possible to tune to a tv channel on a satellite-position that isn’t installed on my dish. Once I get signal, I will automatically see or hear that I have signal.
My question: Can I do the same with the Edision Primo? Is it possible to manually insert parameters of a television/radio channel?
It would be great if I could throw my old rubbish in the bin and use my Edision Primo for searching new satellite positions.

Got the Spanish TDT channels on 30°W (Abertis) working on this tonight with the newest unofficial firmware.

They’re a bit of a faff - I had to add the “information” to THCAM (not OSCAM)’s list on the softcam menu on the receiver manually. Then you have to scan each transponder (12631, 12548, 12671 etc) one at a time with a reboot in between scanning each one. It finds all the channels that way - if you don’t reboot between each scan it won’t find any more channels after the first transponder.

Once they’re all on there though they work very well! Seamlessly integrated with the channel list and very snappy zapping!A80665FE-A735-4FEE-8118-4942E9E85D2E.jpeg

Looks like they have made a streaming agent like astra-sm output to the channel scan....
so "nice" to see the work of others being used, but that was to be expected....
Now let's see how long will that last...

Yes, it was always inevitable that it would spread around! It's probably not a massive leap for them to add because they must already use something like astra-sm for the T2-MI support which these boxes also have.

Hopefully the fact that this system has limited life left, with a change to Spain's DTT system due to happen in 2020 (maybe a switch to DVB-T2/T2-MI via satellite) and that other countries' DVB-T feeds are open via multistream (France & Italy on 5°W, etc) will mean that there isn't too much incentive to change things for now!

This little Greek receiver is quite surprising.
In the afternoon I tried a small 40 cm antenna pointed to 3°E. On 12734 V Primo shows a stable image from just 12% of signal quality ( maximum was 22% ). Incredible !

p.s.
As long as "The Voice of Greece" lasts, I use a separate 90 cm antenna for the satellite at 3°E.

My question: Can I do the same with the Edision Primo?

Yes you can do it.
Installation -> Antenna settings -> Info button ( TP list ) -> Add or Edit
