Hello, I hope I'm posting in the right section.
I see Tbs has added support for Enumsat Vcm. I have read that this might be a weather data signal? I can't get it because I'm in N america.
But in N America I think we have a similar VCM weather data signal,
That we need help with. Is there a post or link that gives steps on how you lock and receive info from this type of signal to help me out.
I see Tbs website shows using Tbs data service ? then What?

Thanks

I guess you are referring to EUMET ;)

1st you'll need a receiver or pc-card that can handle ACM/VCM. Then you can think about getting to the content. There I can't help you.

I've locked the carrier with my TBS5925 and Crazyscan. TSReader has an IP-mode. So you don't need the crappy tools from TBS ;)

Nice! Thanks BlindFaith, I have Tbs 6925, tsreader full version and crazyscan.
I'll have to tune our N american weather data transponder better to try that.
Our weather data signal is on Cband and I just switched to full time KU,:)
So I'll have to switch that out with my Cband lnb.
Anyways,
So you are recording the pids to a file in ip/dvb mode?

Recording is a possibility but you also can retransmit the data and use tsreader as a server. But most of all you have to install the appropriate software to decode the data :)

With TBS6925 card but also with TBS5925 can receive Eumetsat trp.from 10.0E-11263 H,33000,3/5.It is not enough to have good signal and these cards to take advantage of the services(of the Eumetsat weather},but also of applications-EUMETCast Client Software and EKU-which in fact processes the data/files(reconstitution of photo images) received from the satellite. These softwares can be used only if you buy.
But about how to receives Eumetsat with TBT6925,2925 and 6983 cards and discussions about wether reports you can read with profit on the link given by BlindFaith, but also on EUMETSAT discussion group MSG-1 at Yahoo

Thankyou I see now.
Ours is called Noaaport satellite, same kind of signal I'm sure.
Vcm transport it switches from S2-qpsk to 8psk
So Tbs fixed the driver for this VCM transport signal that switches modulations.
And the Tbs data service works maybe? If you want to use that.

I'll see what happens , then and post back if I get it working.

Thankyou

Added: Thanks Satesco I just saw your post

I thought this was obvious from my link above ;)
60€ for the software + 40€ for the dongle.

IMHO all informations about the weather are readily available as web data without a complicated installation for 100€ :D

Ok thanks I missed that part sorry, I was just started reading up on this weather stuff. And don't know nothing about it.
I seen TBS add fix for this signal but didn't even know what Eumsat was until searching the net last night. But I do now. I doubt I'll switch my lnb out to get that anyways. This being a hobby I would pay for the service but have other things I need more right now

Thanks Blind faith
